AutoZone Presents Suppliers of the Year Awards

AutoZone, the largest privately owned automotive parts retailer and wholesaler in Southern Africa, held its inaugural dinner for its top 10 suppliers at the Grill House in Rosebank on Friday 9th September, where it paid tribute to the 10 nominees.

The winner of this year’s award went to Castrol which was received by Graham Noonan, sales director Africa and Kaushik Daya, channel manager.

The runner up was GUD Filters. Receiving the award were Red Shuttleworth MD of GUD Holdings and Ian Law, marketing director.

The Housebrand award went to Sabat Batteries who suppliers the Spirex range of batteries and was received by Glen Glendenhuis, CEO Powertech Batteries and Corne Strydom, marketing director.

The suppliers had to meet a number of criteria as a minimum to qualify. This included stock turn, BBBEE level, unit sales growth and stock availability.
